Gateway Research Organization Field Day

The morning starts with coffee at the hall (doors open at 9:00) and loading the bus. The bus will leave at 9:30 for our site with canola and canola/pulse intercropping plots. Jason Casselman with AB Canola Producers will speak, along with GRO Staff. After looking at these plots we’ll return to the hall. Justin Nanninga, local canola director, and Shane Strydhorst, director with APG will speak during lunch. Following lunch we’ll reload the bus and head to our site with the Pulse Regional Variety Trial (pea & fababean) and our local pulse variety trial (pea, fababean, lupin) plots. Speakers will include Mark Olson, FabaCanada, and GRO staff. From there we will tour the Lakeland College lupin breeding plots. We should wrap up the day with our return to the hall at approx. 3:00.
