Feed Pea Benchmark (Feb 27/17) FEB 27 2017 | Producers

Grain prices remained stable in the three Prairie provinces over the past two weeks with a slight drop in wheat values in Saskatchewan. Corn values remained unchanged while soybean meal values declined by $10/T across the Prairies on the news of a favourable crop in South America. Canola meal values remained unchanged for the most part although Manitoba prices dropped by $15/T. Corn DDGS values continued to soften from plentiful supplies and decreased by another $5-10/T across the Prairies. The main pulses being fed in all three Prairie provinces continue to be faba beans, with values in Alberta at $220, Saskatchewan at $235/T and eastern Manitoba at $265/T.
