Feed Pea Benchmark Report Oct. 28/18 OCT 29 2018 | Producers

Values for all ingredients in Manitoba remained largely unchanged over the past two weeks. However, feed barley and wheat prices in Saskatchewan and Alberta declined sharply as better weather allowed for the resumption of harvesting activities. Corn DDGS prices inched higher and prospects for further increases remain bullish in light of the revised fuel mandate policy recently announced by the US government. Protein pricing remains choppy, weighed down by the prospects of a bumper US soybean crop and they buoyed by large volume bargain purchases of both beans and meal. Feed pea prices remained unchanged, trading for $260/T in Manitoba, $255/T in Saskatchewan, and $250/T in Alberta.
