Next Level Farming events will be hosted in several locations across Alberta in November, featuring the latest in agriculture technology and research.  The events are co-sponsored by the Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC), Alberta Barley and Alberta Pulse Growers (APG).

“AWC’s mission is to increase the profitability of our producers. Next Level Farming offers farmers a new opportunity to stay ahead of the curve on the latest farm management tips and tools,” said Kevin Auch, AWC Chair.

Structured as a one-day conference, Next Level Farming will feature keynote speaker DOT Technologies, the pioneers of the autonomous tractor. DOT Technologies will be providing insight on the latest in equipment technology and tools for Alberta producers to use.

“Commissions are consistently evolving and refining their extension events to provide producers with the tools they need to take their farming to the next level and boost their bottom line,” said APG Chair D’Arcy Hilgartner.

In addition to DOT Technologies, the meetings will focus on other key areas for farmers including best practices for grain storage and updated information trade negotiations.

“There are plenty of issues on- and off-farm that can affect how we conduct our business,” said Jason Lenz, Alberta Barley chair. “Ensuring farmers have the latest information can help them run their farms appropriately.”
