Feed Pea Benchmark Report Sept. 16/18 SEP 17 2018 | Producers

Feed wheat and barley prices were generally lower across the Prairies over the past two weeks by around $10/T with the exception of Manitoba, where prices for both climbed by that same amount. Corn prices ended this period unchanged but are expected to decrease over the next two weeks due to the latest USDA report which surprised traders with very high new crop estimates. Corn DDGS pricing remained steady while soybean meal ended this period $15/T higher than 2 weeks ago. Again, expect a downward trend as the first new crop harvest estimates come in. Feed pea values remained steady, trading for $240/T in Saskatchewan, $245/T in Alberta, and $255/T in Manitoba.
