The AGM is an annual event where APG members gather to review the organization’s activities, financial statements, and strategic plans. It provides an opportunity for members to engage with the Board of Directors, vote on important matters, and stay informed about the pulse industry in Alberta.
The Alberta Pulse Growers’ 2026 Annual General Meeting was held on January 27 in Edmonton. The next AGM will take place in January 2027.

Each of APG’s five zones is supported by a team of Advisors who lead local extension activities. Directors on the provincial board often begin as Advisors. Pulse producers interested in helping grow the industry and developing leadership skills are encouraged to let their name stand for election at their zone meeting each fall.
To be eligible, producers must have sold pulses and paid service charges since August 1, two years prior. Nomination forms—endorsed by another pulse producer in the zone—are due by early November and will be available on the APG website in the fall.
APG’s Board includes two Directors per zone, plus two Directors-at-Large (one Bean, one Non-Bean), elected at the provincial AGM for two-year terms.
The next election will be held in January 2028. Interested producers must submit a nomination form and short bio by mid-January.
