Faba Bean Feed Benchmark Report Oct. 12/18 OCT 12 2018 | Producers

Values for all ingredients remained largely unchanged over the past two weeks. Short-term corn demand has increased as the new crop supply is still largely in the field and ethanol plants are ramping up production. Stalled harvesting activities throughout the Prairies over the past two weeks have also created some concerns over short term feed barley and wheat supplies, particularly in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Longer term prospects for all feed grain prices, however, remain bearish as the near record US crop of corn and soybeans begin to influence the marketplace. Feed pea prices remained unchanged, trading for $260/T in Manitoba, $245/T in Saskatchewan, and $250/T in Alberta.
